Randall Melby

 

Randall Melby is a partner, and estate planning, living trust and probate attorney in the law firm of Melby & Anderson LLP. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California and the Central District of U.S. District Court for the State of California. He has practiced law at Melby & Anderson LLP for his entire legal career since 1977.

Randall Melby’s practice consists of estate planning, probate and living trust administrations and estate and gift tax return preparation. His estate planning practice emphasizes use of integrated planning documentation designed to eliminate any court involvement. His probate and trust practice focuses on counseling trustees and executors in the performance of their fiduciary duties with emphasis on dispute avoidance. In addition to individual clients and private professional fiduciaries, Randall has also represented the trust departments of Northern Trust Company, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo Bank.

During his career at Melby & Anderson LLP he has served on the Board of Trustees of the Glendale Bar Association (President 1987-88); and has served as President and Board Member of the Glendale YMCA; Community Foundation of the Verdugos; The Campbell Center Foundation; and as Board Member of The Campbell Center and Glendale Healthy Kids.

Randall has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court and Municipal Court, and as a Court Settlement Program Mediator.

Randall Melby graduated from California Western School of Law in 1977 after receiving his undergraduate degree at California Western University in 1972. He is a member of the California State Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Trust and Estate Sections of both organizations.
